School trip
All year round, the Château de Gizeux welcomes you for an afternoon or a day and offers activities adapted to the school curriculum and your expectations.
The Costumed Tour
Immerse yourself in the castle’s history!
During the guided tour, discover the remains of the medieval castle and Renaissance wing, as well as the habits and customs of seigneurial life.
Students will be in costume to help them immerse themselves in the past.

We advise all our school groups to start with a costumed tour of the château, followed by one or more of the 6 educational workshops to choose from:
- The Little Musketeers School (fencing and ancient dances)
- Stained glass (creation of a stained glass window using coloured layers)
- Bread oven (kitchen with 18th-century oven)
- Fauna & Flora (discovering biodiversity in the forest park)
- Egg tempera (mixing pigments and painting a collective fresco)
- Coat of arms (creation of an individual coat of arms)

- You will be sent teaching sheets to help you master the content of the activity.
- You can come and meet the mediators before your trip, free of charge and by appointment.
For lunch
- In case of bad weather, a covered area is available.
- In fine weather, the grove and park are open to you
