All year round, the Château de Gizeux welcomes you for an afternoon or a day and offers activities adapted to the school curriculum and your expectations.

The Costumed Tour

Immerse yourself in the history of the castle! During the guided tour, discover the remains of the medieval castle and the Renaissance wing, as well as the habits and customs of seigneurial life. Students will be wearing costumes to help them immerse themselves in the past. More information

New for 2024: the Little Musketeers School!

This year, immerse your pupils in the era of the Musketeers with a brand new activity:

The Little Musketeers School!

An immersive educational workshop, including a presentation of the role of the real musketeers of yesteryear, an introduction to fencing, and a discovery of the traditional dances of the period.

We advise all our school groups to start with a costumed tour of the château, followed by one or more of the 7 educational workshops to choose from:

To prepare your school trip

  • You will be sent teaching sheets to help you master the content of the activity.
  • You can come and meet the mediators before your trip, free of charge and by appointment.

For lunch

  • In case of bad weather, a covered area is available.
  • In fine weather, the grove and park are open to you

CLOSED FOR THE WINTER

 

The château is closed to visitors for the winter.

 

The guest rooms will reopen on 15 March, and visits on 5 April 2025.

 

Group visits are possible during the winter closure, by reservation only.
